Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lil Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nate Kart!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi throws a head kick that Kart semi-blocks.
Kart looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Choi forces Kart back against the cage and clinches.
Choi stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Choi successfully pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Kart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Choi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kart won't allow Choi to sweep him here.
Kart loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Choi pulls Kart in close to prevent any damage.

Choi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kart is one step ahead there.
Choi is looking to stand up but Kart isn't so interested in that idea.
Choi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kart is fighting to break Choi's control of his arms but Choi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Lil Choi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Choi is fending him off so far but Kart persists. Nope, Choi circles away and we're back to standing.

Choi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Choi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kart sees it coming and defends easily.
Choi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Choi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Choi stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kart to get to his feet.
Kart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kart wants it to stay on the feet.

Choi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kart looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Choi is working Kart over with some ground and pound from side control.
Choi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Choi lands with some strikes.
Choi looking to control and managing it successfully.

Choi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kart has worked his arm free - good work by Kart!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Choi controls the position from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Choi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kart has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Choi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kart to the mat! Kart manages to get full guard.
Kart looking to hit a scissor sweep but Choi is one step ahead there.
Choi is pushing down on Kart's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kart is fighting to maintain full guard but Choi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Choi winds up and cracks Kart with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Choi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kart is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Choi pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Choi in particular looking to stall.
Kart is breathing heavily.
Choi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Choi controlling the action here.

Choi decides to stand and escape the position.

Choi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kart quickly recovers to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Choi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kart is just riding it out for now. Choi eventually gives up the hold.

Choi stands up from half guard.

Choi gets a clinch.

Choi pulls guard successfully.
Choi will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lil Choi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Choi wants to sweep but no luck.

Choi is controlling Kart's posture.
Choi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Choi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kart presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Kart is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Choi pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kart is working for takedown but Choi is calmly controlling the position for now.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Choi.

Choi jumps into guard, dragging Kart to the mat.
Choi pulls Kart in close to prevent any damage.

Kart preventing the sweep.

Kart is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Choi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Choi has escaped and now he's on top!
Choi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Choi stands and steps away. Kart gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Choi has Kart up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Choi.

Choi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Choi stays in close to Kart's body and controls the position.
Choi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lil Choi has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Choi can pounce on him.
Choi misses with a head kick.

Choi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kart's guard.
Kart keeping full guard, as Choi tries to pass.
Choi landing some decent shots from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kart is looking for a triangle here but Choi uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Choi content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kart tries to bench press Choi off him but Choi keeps the position.
Choi is staying tight to Kart's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kart is pushing Choi's head away, looking to escape. Choi manages to hold on to the position though.
Kart wants to control but Choi postures up.

Choi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kart knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Choi decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Choi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Choi rushes Kart and presses him up against the cage.

Choi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kart tries to clinch but Choi moves out of range.

Choi has closed the distance and engaged Kart in a clinch.

Choi breaks the clinch.

Choi feints and as Kart raises his hands in defense, Choi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kart is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Choi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kart, up you get!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kart doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Choi counters by moving into the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lil Choi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Choi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
