PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raimo Ronne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batista has chosen wrecking ball as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista throws a nice inside leg kick.
Batista lands a head kick. Ronne smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Raimo Ronne has been cut.
Ronne fails to land the takedown.
Batista feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ronne's calf.
Ronne shoots in for a takedown but Batista shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ronne fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Batista, pushing him back against the cage.
Ronne is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ronne ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ronne no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batista wants to stand but Ronne is controlling his posture from full guard.

Batista got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ronne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Batista has managed to get both his arms back between Ronne's legs - danger averted.

Batista lands a head kick. Ronne smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Batista fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Batista has Ronne pressed against the cage, preventing Ronne from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ronne is trying to force a seperation but Batista has the dominant position.

Raimo Ronne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Batista.

Ronne has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Batista is trying to keep an underhook but Ronne manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Batista wants to get back to his feet.
Ronne wants to take a breather but Batista is having none of it.
Ronne passes the guard and advances to mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ronne sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Batista tries to buck Ronne off but he can't manage it.
Batista takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Raimo Ronne will probably get the nod.

Batista gets tackled into the cage by Ronne. Ronne maintains the clinch.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ronne here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Batista lands a big head kick that sends Ronne tumbling to the mat! Batista takes a step backwards and waves Ronne back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ronne is rocked!
Batista throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Ronne crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
