The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pacquiao walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bruxao leaves Pacquiao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pacquiao manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bruxao on his heels. He'll look to pass Bruxao's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pacquiao content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Bruxao looking for a sweep. Not yet Bruxao, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruxao not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bruxao is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pacquiao postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pacquiao stands and throws Bruxao's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as Pacquiao stalls from top position.

Pacquiao has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bruxao is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pacquiao yanks on the arm and Bruxao is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pacquiao.
