Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Fittknull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jajang Nurjaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Fittknull. No joy for Nurjaman on that attempt.

Nurjaman moves in looking to clinch but Fittknull pushes him off.

Nurjaman shoots in and bounces Fittknull off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

It looks like Nurjaman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jajang Nurjaman wasn't active enough on the ground.

Nurjaman dives in and grabs Fittknull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fittknull pushes down on Nurjaman's head and hops out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fittknull knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nurjaman on the ground.
Nurjaman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fittknull sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nurjaman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fittknull is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fittknull is trying to stick to Nurjaman's back but Nurjaman is turning into Fittknull. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fittknull's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nurjaman.

Fittknull will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nurjaman avoids the head kick by Fittknull.
Nurjaman shoots for a takedown but Fittknull saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nurjaman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fittknull to the ground. Nurjaman is now in Fittknull's guard.

Fittknull's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
John Fittknull has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jajang Nurjaman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Nurjaman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
