Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alekzandr Borikav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borikav comes into the arena with Pelican - Bliss in Concrete blaring out of the sound system. Jack Sparrow is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borikav scores with a jab to the body.
Borikav loads up on a big right hand but Sparrow slips the punch.
Borikav misses with a lunging right hand

and Sparrow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sparrow.
Sparrow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sparrow looking to pass the guard.
Borikav is looking to stand up but Sparrow isn't so interested in that idea.

Sparrow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Borikav wants to stand and escape but Sparrow is having none of it.
Sparrow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sparrow wants to control from the top but Borikav keeps moving.
Borikav wants to get back to his feet but Sparrow is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sparrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Borikav wants to stand and escape but Sparrow is having none of it.

Sparrow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Borikav works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sparrow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borikav swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sparrow stands and throws Borikav's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sparrow prevents Borikav from escaping the position.
Borikav dodges the ground and pound from Sparrow.
Sparrow cracks Borikav with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Borikav tries to escape but Sparrow is in control.
Sparrow is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Borikav will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Sparrow lands a nice forearm strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sparrow postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sparrow working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Borikav has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Borikav knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparrow on the ground.
Our spies down at at All Around Training inform us that Sparrow has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Sparrow has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Borikav! Can he survive? No! He's out! Sparrow gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
