Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rankka Ankka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanjay Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ankka's entrance music is Milk - The Knife Song. A fine choice. Rankka Ankka is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rankka Ankka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sanjay Singh!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Singh. Ankka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Singh misses with a wild body shot.
Ankka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Singh paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Singh tries to sprawl but Ankka drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

We've been hearing that Ankka has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Ankka is nestled in close to Singh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Singh is trying to maintain the position but Ankka is very close to passing his half guard.

Donk. Singh catches Ankka right on the button with a cross.
Ankka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ankka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Singh swats away the attempt to clinch by Ankka.
A nice inside leg kick there by Singh. That's going to slow Ankka down.
Ankka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Singh circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Singh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ankka looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ankka looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ankka!

Ankka is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Singh's shoulder. That is not cool.
Singh is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ankka connects with a decent elbow.

This has been an exciting period of action!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanjay Singh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Singh throws a chopping leg kick but Ankka manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Ankka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Singh, pushing him back against the cage.
Singh swings wildly with an uppercut but Ankka uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ankka tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Singh's elbow.
Singh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ankka tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Singh avoids it.
Singh is trying to push Ankka away but Ankka has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ankka throws a knee to the head but misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Singh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Singh is pressed up against the cage. Ankka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Singh down to the mat. Singh avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ankka changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Singh fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sanjay Singh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
