Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Batistuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batistuta has chosen Deftones - You've Seen The Butcher as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barry Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlos Batistuta!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Allen wants it to stay on the feet.
A jab from Allen misses.
Allen throws the left hand but Batistuta avoids the punch easily.

Batistuta jabs Allen right on the nose. Allen blinks but takes it well.

and Batistuta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Batistuta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Allen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing that Allen has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Batistuta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Allen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Batistuta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Batistuta has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Allen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Batistuta.

Batistuta manages to work his way to half guard, despite Allen's best efforts.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Allen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Barry Allen will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Allen takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Allen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Batistuta shoots in but Allen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Batistuta has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Allen regains guard immediately.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Batistuta accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Allen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Batistuta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Allen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Barry Allen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Allen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
