Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hung Odonnell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Odonnell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Odonnell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McGregor.

Odonnell gets caught flat footed, as McGregor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Odonnell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Odonnell keeping moving, preventing McGregor from controlling successfully.
Odonnell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGregor darts in looking for a takedown but Odonnell gets double underhooks and turns McGregor into the cage.
McGregor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Odonnell to keep the fight standing.

McGregor won't allow Odonnell to get back to his feet.
McGregor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Odonnell is keeping the position for now.
Odonnell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Odonnell is looking to stand up but McGregor isn't so interested in that idea.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Odonnell holds on and takes a little breather.

McGregor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Odonnell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McGregor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Odonnell is struggling to control the position.
Odonnell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

A right handed body shot lands from Odonnell.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McGregor wants to stand but Odonnell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Odonnell wants to stand and escape but McGregor is having none of it.
McGregor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Odonnell is keeping the position for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jimmy McGregor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Odonnell but Odonnell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McGregor moves into the clinch.
McGregor tries to break the clinch but Odonnell is controlling the position.
McGregor drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hung Odonnell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy McGregor.

Odonnell has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McGregor clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Odonnell gets his hands free as McGregor looks to control.

Odonnell really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for McGregor.

McGregor just trying to survive but Odonnell is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
McGregor tries to break free.
Odonnell is riding his opponent, not letting McGregor buck him off.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McGregor fails with the takedown
and Odonnell counters with a leg kick.

McGregor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Odonnell's waist but Odonnell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGregor off to one side.
McGregor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McGregor is breathing heavily.
McGregor misses with a takedown attempt
and Odonnell counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McGregor tries to close the distance and clinch but Odonnell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGregor fails to land the takedown.

Odonnell forces McGregor back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Odonnell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jimmy McGregor will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Odonnell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



McGregor tries to sprawl but Odonnell drives through with a takedown into half guard.
McGregor wants to control but Odonnell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McGregor pushes Odonnell off looking to stand but Odonnell dives back in and keeps control.
McGregor is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McGregor wants to get back to his feet.
McGregor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jimmy McGregor has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
McGregor misses with a takedown attempt
and Odonnell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Odonnell lands with a kick to the temple. McGregor shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
McGregor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Odonnell tries to avoid it but McGregor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Odonnell to the ground. Odonnell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Odonnell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Odonnell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McGregor has his takedown stuffed
and Odonnell counters with a head kick. That will keep McGregor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Hung Odonnell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy McGregor.
McGregor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Odonnell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Odonnell lands in his opponent's guard.

Odonnell stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Odonnell sprawls well. Odonnell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McGregor gets slowly back to his feet.

Odonnell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McGregor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McGregor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Odonnell is aware though and is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Odonnell trying to stand up but can't free himself from McGregor's guard.
McGregor trying to keep a closed guard but Odonnell is proving a slippery customer.
Odonnell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hung Odonnell just wasn't active enough.
Odonnell tries to clinch but McGregor moves out of range.

McGregor lands with a slapping head kick.
Odonnell on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
McGregor misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Odonnell to counter with a crisp jab.
McGregor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Odonnell defends it nicely.
Odonnell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McGregor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Odonnell but Odonnell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hung Odonnell showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McGregor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
