Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riggs comes to the cage accompanied by big gun - AC/DC. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!John Riggs could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Master Yi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Yi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Yi.
Yi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Yi feints and then cracks Riggs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riggs down.
Riggs closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yi did well to prevent Riggs getting side control.
Riggs throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Riggs tries to pass to full mount but Yi defends it.
Riggs wants to work for an arm triangle but Yi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Riggs throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Riggs is looking for a kimura but Yi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Riggs to get the leverage.
Yi tries to roll over but Riggs keeps him under control.
Riggs is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Riggs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've been hearing good reports from Riggs's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Yi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Riggs.
Riggs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yi defends it well.

Yi tries to get to full guard but Riggs has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riggs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Riggs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Riggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Riggs moves into full mount! Yi won't be happy about that!

Yi can't escape the position.
Riggs is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riggs pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Yi is rocked!
Riggs unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Yi wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Riggs celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
