Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michel Collier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo Augusto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augusto throws a head kick that Collier semi-blocks.
Augusto slips a jab and a cross from Collier.
Collier swinging wildly here.
Augusto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Augusto looks to land a right hand but Collier moved out of range.
Horrible takedown by Augusto or perhaps it was just good defense by Collier which made him look bad.

and Collier counters with a single leg into guard. Augusto didn't expect that.

Collier drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Augusto manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Collier has Augusto in his guard.

Collier is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Augusto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Collier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Augusto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Augusto tries to roll over but Collier keeps him under control.

Augusto parries the strikes from Collier easily there. Collier is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Augusto to escape.

Augusto is trying to escape the position but Collier is controlling the position.
Augusto is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Collier creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Collier tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Augusto is letting Collier control him for a moment.
The strikes coming from Collier are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Augusto manages to work his way to half guard, despite Collier's best efforts.
Collier throws a strike but Augusto avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Augusto controls Collier momentarily but Collier frees himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Augusto leaves Collier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Augusto shoots in but no luck this time.
Augusto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Collier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Augusto somewhat.

Collier has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Augusto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Collier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Collier seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Augusto goes for a double leg but Collier avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Collier continues to drive forward.

Augusto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Collier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Augusto tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Collier is in Augusto's guard.

Augusto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Collier is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Collier is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Augusto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Augusto's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Collier is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Augusto is defending well though. Collier let's go of the attempt for now.
