Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takumi Gunma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is come as you are. Shinya Aoki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki thows a body shot but no joy.
Gunma ducks under a wild hook from Aoki.
Aoki tries to clinch up.
Aoki tries to clinch but Gunma moves out of range.

Gunma shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gunma showed some decent athleticism there.

Gunma is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Aoki regains full guard. Nicely done.

Gunma throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aoki works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gunma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aoki swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Aoki wants to clinch up but Gunma keeps it at a distance.
