Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Kingsley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keys OMalley!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. OMalley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
OMalley drops Kingsley with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kingsley looks back up at him and smiles so OMalley waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Kingsley is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
OMalley closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Kingsley out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keys OMalley!
A very excited looking Keys OMalley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
