Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hashim Jalilul Hassan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arnold Rothstein!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothstein looks to land a body kick but Hassan moved away.

Rothstein gets the takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hassan is trying to control Rothstein's posture but Rothstein avoids it.
Hassan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rothstein working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Rothstein trying to control the action but Hassan is working from the bottom.

Hassan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Arnold Rothstein wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hassan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Rothstein. Those never looked like landing.

Hassan cracks Rothstein with a good jab.
Hassan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hassan throws a wild body kick that Rothstein sees coming a mile off.
Hassan fails to land with a series of punches.

Hashim Jalilul Hassan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rothstein scores with a spinning back kick!
Rothstein throws a nice looking combination but Hassan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hassan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hassan tries to bum rush Rothstein with a series of wild strikes but Rothstein uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rothstein looks to score with a jab to the body but Hassan is just out of range.
Hassan misses with the combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Hassan as he connects with a hook.

Rothstein shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rothstein was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rothstein working his ground and pound in the gym.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee asks Rothstein politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rothstein prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hassan is looking to reverse the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hassan wants to get back to his feet but Rothstein drags him back down.
Hassan tries to improve position but can't.
Hassan is working hard here to advance position.
Hassan is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Rothstein throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Rothstein grinds an elbow into Hassan's temple.
Rothstein misses with the ground and pound.
Hassan tries to escape but Rothstein is in control.
Hassan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Hassan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hassan is trying to control Rothstein's posture but Rothstein avoids it.
Hassan is looking for a sweep.
Rothstein slows the pace down.
Hassan tries to bench press Rothstein off him but Rothstein keeps the position.

Rothstein controls the position.
Hassan defending against the ground and pound.
Hassan is trying to improve his position.
A lull in the action here as Rothstein stalls from top position.
Rothstein in side control lands a decent elbow.
Rothstein works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hassan wants to get back to his feet but Rothstein drags him back down.
Rothstein wants to control but Hassan is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rothstein in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Rothstein trying to control the position but Hassan is working away.
Hassan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hassan is not content to let Rothstein control the position.
Rothstein is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Hassan is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rothstein scoring with punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Rothstein dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hassan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hassan.
Rothstein is looking to land body kicks.
Hassan throws a wild hook but Rothstein just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Hassan gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Rothstein raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arnold Rothstein!
Arnold Rothstein seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
