Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Vidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heikki Hirvonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vidal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hirvonen counters by moving into the clinch.
Vidal has Hirvonen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hirvonen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hirvonen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Vidal tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hirvonen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Vidal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vidal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vidal cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Vidal is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hirvonen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

BOOM! Vidal connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hirvonen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Vidal lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hirvonen hang on?
Vidal scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Hirvonen wants to hold on but Vidal pushes him away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vidal lands with some strikes.
Hirvonen is still in real trouble! Can Vidal finish him?

Vidal is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hirvonen is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hirvonen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Vidal anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hirvonen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Vidal slips an arm under Hirvonen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Vidal has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Vidal is squeezing on Hirvonen like an anaconda would it's prey. Hirvonen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Antonio Vidal!
