Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ghalid El Hashem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Redmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Hashem's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Leviathan. Nathan Redmond is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ghalid El Hashem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Redmond!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redmond throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Redmond is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
El Hashem is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


It looks like Ghalid El Hashem has been cut.
El Hashem throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Redmond fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. El Hashem looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
El Hashem connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Redmond's hands.
El Hashem connects with a high kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redmond misses with a few strikes there.
Redmond ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Redmond tries to clinch up.
Redmond pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
El Hashem is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Redmond.


El Hashem is rocked!

Redmond rushes El Hashem and presses him up against the cage.
Oh El Hashem is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Redmond taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Redmond receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
El Hashem prevents the takedown attempt.
Redmond pushes off an throws an elbow but El Hashem leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
El Hashem tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Redmond displaying some good clinch control by pressing El Hashem up against the cage.

El Hashem is fighting off a takedown attempt but Redmond is just too persistent for him and manages to trip El Hashem to the mat. El Hashem regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

El Hashem is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Redmond defends well.
El Hashem controls Redmond momentarily but Redmond frees himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
El Hashem is really struggling to control Redmond but he's trying to hold on to the position.
El Hashem seems to have got his legs back now.

El Hashem is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Redmond is aware though and is defending well.
El Hashem looking to hit a scissor sweep but Redmond is one step ahead there.
Redmond throwing strikes from guard but El Hashem blocks nicely.
Redmond stopping the sweep attempt from El Hashem.
Redmond postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redmond working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of El Hashem's head.
Redmond chips away with some ground and pound.
El Hashem not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
El Hashem looking to control but Redmond passes into half guard.
Redmond thows a huge punch but El Hashem dodges it nicely.
Redmond prevents El Hashem from improving his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Redmond is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, El Hashem has managed to free his arm - good work.
Redmond is looking to take a break and control but El Hashem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Redmond thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed El Hashem's head.

El Hashem is looking for a sweep. Redmond is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

El Hashem wants to get back to full guard but Redmond has passed into side control.
Redmond wants to lay and pray for a moment but El Hashem keeps working.

El Hashem takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Redmond trying to control the position but El Hashem is working away.
Redmond lands a strong strike to the head of El Hashem. That's dazed him! Redmond looking to finish here. El Hashem is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Redmond lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
