Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Yap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaru Shimabukuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yap might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Game. Shimabukuro has chosen Warrior as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Yap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaru Shimabukuro!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimabukuro throws a right hand that Yap ducks under and follows up with a left that Yap also avoids with ease.
Shimabukuro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shimabukuro throws a half hearted mid kick.
Yap drops his hands momentarily and Shimabukuro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shimabukuro dodges the punch combination from Yap.
Masaru Shimabukuro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yap throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shimabukuro sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Yap seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Shimabukuro throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Yap moves out of range as Shimabukuro throws a body kick.
Yap lands a jab to Shimabukuro's midsection.
Shimabukuro throws a looping overhand right but Yap ducks down to avoid it.
Yap misses with a double jab
and Shimabukuro counters with a body kick that stops Yap in his tracks momentarily.
Shimabukuro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yap to score with a decent uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shimabukuro pushes Yap away with a front kick.
Shimabukuro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yap circles away quickly and effectively.
Shimabukuro fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Yap misses with the combination.
Yap lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shimabukuro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Shimabukuro.
Shimabukuro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
We've been informed that Shimabukuro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Shimabukuro throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yap moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Yap takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Shimabukuro takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Shimabukuro is rocked!
Yap lands with a big right hook that stumbles Shimabukuro - he's out on his feet here! Yap follows up with another monster hook that separates Shimabukuro from consciousness! Shimabukuro falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Yap stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
