PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sting Heller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stripe Pipey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heller comes into the arena with brock blaring out of the sound system. Sting Heller has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sting Heller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stripe Pipey!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pipey shoots for a takedown but Heller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pipey throws the left hand but Heller avoids the punch easily.

Heller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pipey to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Heller really is a fat lump.
Pipey engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stripe Pipey was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pipey wants to clinch but Heller slips to the side

so Heller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pipey wants to sweep but no luck.

Pipey has his hands on Heller's head, controlling the position.
Heller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Heller is breathing heavily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stripe Pipey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pipey tries to clinch but Heller moves away

and Heller counters with a shoot takedown. Pipey fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pipey seems keen to control Heller's posture.
Pipey tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Pipey pulls Heller in close to prevent any damage.

Stripe Pipey has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Good standup being displayed there by Pipey as he connects with a hook.

Pipey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pipey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pipey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pipey decides to stand back up. Pipey steps back and let's Heller get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pipey is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Pipey throws a body punch but Heller moves out of range.
Heller keeps the fight on the outside.
Heller takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Sting Heller has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pipey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heller defends it nicely.
Stripe Pipey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pipey tries a head kick but it misses.

Pipey tries to clinch but Heller moves out of range.
Pipey goes for a double leg but Heller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Heller continues to drive forward.

Pipey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pipey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Pipey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Pipey seems content to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stripe Pipey wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pipey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stripe Pipey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pipey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heller avoids it really well and circles away.
Pipey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Heller but Heller pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Heller gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pipey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pipey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Heller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well Pipey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
