Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cool McCold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Excel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCold comes into the arena with Back in Black blaring out of the sound system. Excel has chosen Everything Zen- Bush as his entrance music. Axel Excel has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from McCold misses the target.
Cool McCold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Excel staying out of range there.
McCold misses with a looping left.
McCold misses with a jab, cross combination.
McCold jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A nice combination there by Excel.

It looks like Cool McCold has been cut.
Excel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Excel walks into a stiff left hand from McCold.
McCold throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Excel counter with a right hand.
McCold misses with an uppercut.
McCold misses with a combination
and Excel counters with a flying knee. Nice.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Excel blocks a jab.
Excel throws a nice looking combination but McCold bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McCold dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Excel. That did some damage!
McCold misses with a body shot.
McCold falls off balance throwing a combination
and Excel counters with a nice body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Excel shoots in and drives through. McCold sprawls well.
McCold throws a jab but it's blocked by Excel.
Excel ducks under a wild hook from McCold.
McCold throws a lazy right hand but Excel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McCold swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Excel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McCold looks to land a right hand but Excel moved out of range.
McCold lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McCold is breathing heavily.
Excel slips under a jab.
Excel thuds his right hand into McCold's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Excel ducks under a wild hook from McCold.
McCold swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Excel rushes McCold and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McCold blocks the elbow strike.

McCold breaks from the clinch.
McCold throws out a loose jab but Excel uses good head movement to avoid it.
McCold lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Excel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McCold misses the body punch

and Excel counters with a nice double leg into side control. McCold won't be happy with that.
McCold is letting Excel control him for a moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Excel tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McCold gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
McCold wants to control but Excel is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Excel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCold is looking to escape.
McCold is desperately trying to improve his position but Excel has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Axel Excel will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Cool McCold's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

McCold drops Excel with a left and a right! Oh, Excel is hurt - McCold dives into side control looking to finish!

Excel is rocked!

It looks like Axel Excel has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCold happy to just control the position for now.
Excel is still in real trouble! Can McCold finish him?

McCold stands up and beckons Excel to his feet.
Excel seems to have recovered his senses.
Cool McCold is winning the standup battle so far.
BOOM! McCold lands a beautiful left hook that drops Excel. Excel tries to recover but McCold is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Excel lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
