Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Armani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Zane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zane is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alexisonfire - Mailbox Arson. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Armani gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zane to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Zane stops Armani from standing up.
Zane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Armani is keeping the position for now.
Armani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zane on the ground.
Zane wants to control from the top but Armani keeps moving.

Zane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Armani wants to stand up but Zane is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Zane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Zane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Armani is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zane is controlling him.
Zane looking to sit in guard and control but Armani gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Armani wants to get up but he can't break Zane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Zane seems keen to control Armani's posture.

Armani wants to stand but Zane is controlling his posture from full guard.
Zane has his hands on Armani's head, controlling the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Armani would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Seth Zane was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Armani slaps away a takedown attempt from Zane, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Zane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Armani as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Zane fails with a takedown attempt.
Leonardo Armani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seth Zane.
Armani rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Armani gets caught napping as Zane dives in and scores a takedown. Armani manages to retain guard.
Zane wants to control from the top but Armani keeps moving.
Armani wants to stand up but Zane is controlling him.

Zane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Armani is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zane is controlling him.
Zane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armani swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zane prevents Armani from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Armani throws a leg kick but Zane sees it coming and moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Zane counters with a nice double leg into side control. Armani won't be happy with that.
Zane has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Armani!

Armani is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Zane locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Armani is forced to tap!
