The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez tries a head kick but it misses.
Horunge blocks a head kick by Jimenez.

and Horunge counters with a good low kick that Jimenez was not able to check.

Horunge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jimenez quickly recovers to half guard.

Jimenez kicks off Horunge and gets to his feet.
Jimenez throws a leg kick but Horunge sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Saber Horunge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horunge ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Horunge darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horunge seems to be working for a kimura but Jimenez defends the submission attempt.
Jimenez is concentrating on defense, preventing Horunge from advancing position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jimenez pushes Horunge off and gets back to his feet.

Horunge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horunge avoids a kick to the body.

Horunge scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Jimenez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
No joy there for Horunge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Horunge fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jimenez to the ground. Horunge is now in Jimenez's guard.
Horunge looks winded!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jimenez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
