Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Jezewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layne Staley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Staley has chosen The Rooster as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jezewski misses with a takedown
and Staley counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Staley swinging wildly here.
Staley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jezewski.
Jezewski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Staley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Staley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jezewski.

Staley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Staley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Staley creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jezewski's defenses.

It looks like Adam Jezewski has been cut.

Staley breaks from the clinch.

Staley moves into range and clinches up with Jezewski.
Jezewski misses with a knee to the head.

Staley pulls Jezewski into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Staley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jezewski tries to keep at a distance but Staley has taken the fight into the clinch.
Staley unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Staley pulls guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Staley wants to sweep here but Jezewski controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Staley is on top in guard.
Staley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Staley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Staley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Layne Staley has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jezewski is looking to clinch but Staley is avoiding it.
Jezewski stuffs the takedown attempt from Staley. Staley gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jezewski doesn't manage to clinch there - Staley circles away.

Staley has managed to clinch.
A hook to the body from Staley.

Staley gets control of Jezewski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Staley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jezewski is fighting to break Staley's control of his arms but Staley is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Staley tries to clinch but Jezewski moves out of range.

Staley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Staley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Staley lands a decent elbow from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Staley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jezewski will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Staley is looking to clinch but Jezewski is avoiding it.
A head kick from Jezewski lands but Staley takes it in his stride.

Staley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Layne Staley.
Jezewski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Staley is fending him off so far but Jezewski persists. Nope, Staley circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Staley stuffs the takedown attempt from Jezewski. Jezewski gets slowly back to his feet.
Jezewski tries to bum rush Staley with a series of wild strikes but Staley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Staley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Staley moves into full mount! Jezewski won't be happy about that!
Jezewski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
