The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Dark Chicken will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Chicken fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Huerta sprawls well initially but Chicken persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chicken here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Huerta had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chicken is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Huerta Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chicken's back instead.

Well Chicken has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
