Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wes Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ramirez's choice of entrance music: Ice Cube- Check Yo Self (Original Version). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wes Landry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch but Landry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Landry sprawls well. Landry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet.

Landry closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage.

Landry has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ramirez is trying to keep an underhook but Landry manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Landry is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ramirez still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ramirez has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Landry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ramirez just stands there and leans against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ramirez tries to clinch but Landry is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Landry or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramirez which made him look bad.
Landry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ramirez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Landry somewhat.

and Ramirez makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Landry really felt that one!
