Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karl Ritchie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Danny Barns!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritchie doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Barns counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ritchie's guard now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Barns landing with the ground and pound.
Barns scoring with punches to the head and body.
Ritchie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barns is one step ahead there.
Ritchie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barns can't escape the position.
Ritchie trying to control but Barns is having none of it.
Barns tries to lock up and control but Ritchie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Barns is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Barns looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Barns is still trying to improve position.
Ritchie fails to move to back control.
Barns sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ritchie is working for a kimura but Barns is defending it quite comfortably.
Barns is doing well to control the position and prevent Ritchie from advancing to side control.
Barns is looking for a sweep. Ritchie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barns works his way to full guard. Good work.

Barns looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ritchie passes into half guard.
Ritchie looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ritchie is looking for a kimura but Barns is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ritchie to get the leverage.
Ritchie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ritchie wants to control but Barns is keeping him busy.
Barns manages to get to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ritchie trying to control but Barns is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Barns dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Barns shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ritchie napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Danny Barns has got the better of the ground game so far.
Barns connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ritchie some visible discomfort.
Barns in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritchie taking a bit of punishment here - Barns scoring with strikes.
Ritchie wants to get back to his feet.
Ritchie wants to control but Barns postures up.
Barns is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ritchie will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big shot lands for Barns! That's hurt Ritchie! Will he recover? Barns fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Barns!
Danny Barns tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Karl Ritchie was interviewed post fight and said 'Fuck sake'.
