The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Secoy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tickel has time to react.
Tickel misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Secoy finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Tickel thuds his right hand into Secoy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Tickel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tickel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Secoy defends well and Tickel ends up having to push Secoy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tickel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Secoy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tickel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Secoy circles away.

Tickel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Secoy. That's going to slow Tickel down.
Tickel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Secoy finds it's way round the side to connect with Tickel's head.
Tickel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Secoy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tickel somewhat.
Good leg kick by Secoy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tickel has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Secoy.
Tickel shoots for a takedown but Secoy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Secoy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Tickel's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Secoy lands a big head kick that sends Tickel to the canvas! Secoy follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

A very excited looking Azamat Secoy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
