Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jase Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robertson comes to the cage accompanied by SAIL by AwolNation. Speed has chosen Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jase Robertson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abel Speed!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson moves away from the strike by Speed.
Jase Robertson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Robertson lands with a nice combination. Speed backs away looking to recover.
Speed slips a straight right by Robertson.
Speed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Speed catches Robertson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Robertson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HILITE Fighting Club in the buildup to the fight.
Speed just misses with a punch to the body.
A lazy left from Speed finds it's target.
Robertson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Speed misses with an uppercut. Robertson saw that one coming.
Speed scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Robertson doesn't seem bothered though.
Decent striking displayed by Robertson there.


It looks like Abel Speed has been cut.
Speed lands a jab to Robertson's midsection.
Robertson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Robertson misses the shot to the body.
Speed swings for the body but Robertson moves out of range.
Speed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Robertson throws a body kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Speed lands a jab.
Robertson misses the shot to the body.
A slow jab from Speed misses its intended target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Speed. Robertson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Robertson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Speed misses with a wild body shot.
Robertson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Robertson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Robertson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Robertson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robertson throws a left and a right that both miss

and Robertson is countered with a crisp right hand from Speed that sends him to the canvas! Speed follows him to the mat into side control.


Robertson is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Speed wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robertson keeps working.
Oh Robertson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Speed has control of an arm but Robertson manages to advance to Speed's back!
Speed trying to control the hands but Robertson breaks the grip.
Speed is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Robertson is staying active.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
I really don't envy Speed right now.
Robertson seems to have got his legs back now.
Robertson is riding his opponent, not letting Speed buck him off.
Speed looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Speed tries to escape but Robertson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Robertson wants to control but Speed manages to buck him off and is now in Robertson's guard! Nice work there by Speed!
Speed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Robertson is keeping the position for now.
Speed prevents Robertson from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Speed is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A jab from Speed misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Robertson throws a looping overhand right but Speed ducks down to avoid it.
Speed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robertson manages to avoid it.
Robertson is looking to score with low kicks.
Speed thows a body shot but no joy.
Robertson misses with a looping right.
Speed is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Robertson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Speed on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Robertson connects with a leg kick. Speed looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Robertson thuds his shin into the meat of Speed's side.
Speed lands with an uppercut that bounces Robertson off the cage and back into range.
Speed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Robertson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Robertson misses with a double jab
and Speed counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Robertson misses with a low kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Speed clinches with his opponent.
Speed keeps control of Robertson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A right hook to the body lands for Speed.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Speed.
A short body shot lands from Speed as the two fighters clinch.

Robertson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Speed misses the shot to the body.
Speed throws a shot to the body.
Robertson throws a leg kick but Speed sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Good exchange - Speed coming out on top.
Speed takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Speed looks to land a combination but Robertson avoids it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Speed looks to land a right hand but Robertson moved out of range.

Speed throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Robertson tumbling to the canvas!
Speed working some strikes from top position.
Speed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Robertson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abel Speed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Abel Speed's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Robertson throws a head kick that misses
and Speed scores with a counter punch that sends Robertson to the canvas! Speed smells blood - he's punishing Robertson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Robertson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abel Speed!
