Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volk Kruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Effigy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks avoids the head kick by Kruth.
Brooks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kruth counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kruth.
We've been hearing good reports from Brooks's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Brooks is looking for a triangle but Kruth pushes his legs off easily.
Kruth stands up over Brooks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kruth has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brooks looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kruth is defending well. Brooks quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kruth has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Brooks celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
