Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, The Samurai!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Samurai is looking to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Samurai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Samurai wants to clinch but Marshall slips to the side

and Marshall counters with a takedown into side control.

Marshall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Samurai rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Marshall's guard! Nice work there by Samurai!
Samurai is looking to stand up but Marshall won't let him.

Marshall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Samurai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marshall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Marshall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Samurai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Samurai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marshall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samurai has managed to get both his arms back between Marshall's legs - danger averted.

Marshall is looking for a triangle but Samurai pushes his legs off easily.
Marshall seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Samurai tries to clinch

and Marshall counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marshall.
Samurai unloads a knee to the mid-section. Marshall lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Marshall tries for a takedown. No joy.
Samurai lands an elbow just above Marshall 's eye.
Samurai creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Marshall's defenses.
Samurai connects with a knee to the head.
Samurai gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Mason Marshall has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Samurai.
Samurai lands a good knee to the midsection. Marshall won't want to take too many of those.

Marshall pulls Samurai into guard.
Samurai preventing the sweep.

Marshall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Samurai can do to turn this around?

Marshall isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Samurai stacks Marshall on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Samurai!

Marshall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Samurai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Samurai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Samurai is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Marshall has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Samurai is looking to defend but Marshall has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Samurai! Marshall pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Samurai taps out and this one is all over!
