The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters shoots for a double leg takedown but Daret sprawls well. He's pushed Waters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Daret's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick from Daret lands but Waters takes it in his stride.

It looks like Harlan Waters has been cut.

Daret closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Waters quickly recovers to half guard.
