Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sun Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Mutou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kato comes into the arena with STILL BALLIN blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sun Kato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiji Mutou!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutou takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kato thuds his right hand into Mutou's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Mutou closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mutou working over Kato with some ground and pound. Kato looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mutou wants to take a breather but Kato is having none of it.
Mutou is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Kato pushes Mutou off looking to stand but Mutou dives back in and keeps control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mutou looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kato with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kato is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mutou working his ground and pound in the gym.
Mutou sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kato defending well though.
Mutou thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kato's head.
Mutou winds up and cracks Kato with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mutou seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kato does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mutou is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kato!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mutou postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kato badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Mutou around the waist but Mutou pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Mutou is the winner by TKO! Mutou jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keiji Mutou!
