The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaromskis slips a jab and a cross from Smart.
Maxwell Smart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zaromskis stuffs the takedown attempt from Smart. Smart gets slowly back to his feet.
Smart shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zaromskis pinned against the cage. Zaromskis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaromskis's waist but Zaromskis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smart off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxwell Smart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zaromskis misses with a head kick.
Smart shoots in for a takedown but Zaromskis shows good takedown defense.
Smart slips a jab and a cross from Zaromskis.
Smart moves out of range of the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zaromskis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smart fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Zaromskis as Smart shoots in.
Zaromskis lands with a right hand.
It looks like Maxwell Smart has been cut.
Zaromskis lands a brutal uppercut that launches Smart off his feet! Smart tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
