Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shakur Mathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lupang Hinirang-ABS-CBN Stars kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mathis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jones is trying to keep Mathis in close.
Mathis content to stall in guard here.
Mathis stands up and waves to Jones to follow him.
Mathis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Mathis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mathis advances to half guard.
Mathis slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mathis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Mathis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mathis in particular looking to stall.
Mathis prevents Jones from improving his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Shakur Mathis just wasn't active enough.
Mathis slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mathis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mathis cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mathis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mathis is trying for a kimura here. Jones looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Mathis wins by kimura!
