The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Optiplex gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slone to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Slone works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Optiplex blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slone.

Slone decides to stand and escape the position.
Optiplex throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Slone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Optiplex to the ground. Slone is now in Optiplex's guard.
Slone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Slone drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Slone seems to have locked his on tight now - Optiplex screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Slone, as he picks up the win!
