Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sally Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haleb Sukayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haleb Sukayev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Morrison.
Sukayev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Morrison misses with a takedown attempt
and Sukayev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Morrison's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sukayev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sukayev wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.
Morrison manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morrison manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sukayev wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.

Sukayev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Haleb Sukayev.

Morrison throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Morrison throws a combination. Sukayev tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Morrison tries to clinch but Sukayev moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Sukayev. No joy for Morrison on that attempt.

Sukayev lands with a hook. Morrison tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Morrison tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sukayev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morrison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Morrison is breathing heavily.
Sukayev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morrison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sukayev somewhat.
Morrison tries to clinch but Sukayev moves away
and Sukayev counters with a single leg into guard. Morrison didn't expect that.
Sukayev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Morrison is looking to stand up but Sukayev isn't so interested in that idea.
Sukayev content to stall in guard here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Haleb Sukayev wasn't active enough on the ground.
Morrison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morrison throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sukayev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Morrison has his takedown stuffed
so Sukayev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sukayev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sukayev chips away with some ground and pound.
Sukayev controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Morrison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sukayev on the ground.
Sukayev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sukayev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sukayev drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sukayev might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Morrison haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Haleb Sukayev was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sukayev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Morrison pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sukayev back to the cage. Morrison follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sukayev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morrison on his heels. He'll look to pass Morrison's guard now, I'm sure.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Haleb Sukayev hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sukayev closes the distance and clinches up with Morrison, looking for a takedown. Sukayev pushes Morrison against the cage but Morrison circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morrison lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Morrison.
Sally Morrison is winning the standup battle so far.
Morrison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sukayev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Morrison throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sukayev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sally Morrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morrison tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sukayev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Morrison tries for a takedown but Sukayev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sukayev is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Morrison.
Sukayev tests Morrison's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sally Morrison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Morrison takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sukayev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sukayev showed some decent athleticism there.
Sukayev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sukayev uses his free foot to push down on Morrison's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Morrison.
Sukayev is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Sukayev extends the arm and Morrison is forced to tap!
