The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighieri misses with a few strikes there.
Alighieri ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crowe moves away.
Alighieri throws a shot to the body.
Alighieri swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crowe lands a body shot.
Crowe lands with a shot to the body.
Alighieri is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crowe doesn't manage to clinch there - Alighieri circles away.
Crowe connects with a solid leg kick.
Crowe lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Alighieri sprawling to the canvas. Crowe follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Alighieri hang on?
Alighieri is rocked!
It looks like Tristan Alighieri has been cut.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Crowe works his foot free and advances to mount.
Oh Alighieri is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crowe loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Alighieri scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Crowe land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Crowe stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stanton Crowe!
As Stanton Crowe got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Lookit 'im! He's tryin' to his spiel, but I done knocked the words right outta his head! Abandon all words, ye who get a taste of my fist! Yeah!'.
