Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pow Pow!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow tries to score with a low kick but Emerson moves his leg out of the way.
Pow tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Emerson is able to avoid easily.
Pow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Stanley Emerson has been cut.
Emerson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Emerson wants to clinch up but Pow keeps it at a distance.

Pow moves into the clinch successfully.

Emerson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pow clinches with his opponent.
Pow trying to control the position but instead, Emerson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pow into the cage.
Emerson lands a nice elbow.

Emerson lands a takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emerson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Emerson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Emerson moves out of range of the body kick from Pow.

Pow throws a leg kick that is checked
and Emerson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Emerson has closed the distance and engaged Pow in a clinch.
Emerson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pow's elbow.
Emerson lands a shoulder strike.
Pow swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pow's coach down at Morbid Conditioning School $150 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pow's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Knees in the clinch landing for Emerson.
Pow tries to break the clinch but Emerson is controlling the position.
Pow swings wildly with an uppercut but Emerson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Emerson breaks the clinch.
Pow scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pow throws a solid leg kick but Emerson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pow.

and Emerson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Emerson lands with a short shot to the head.
Emerson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Emerson crunches a lovely knee into Pow's ribcage.
Emerson blocking some punches.
Emerson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Pow misses with an elbow over the top.
Emerson lands with a right to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Emerson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Pow blocks a body shot from Emerson.
Pow tries to circle away but Emerson has him pinned against the cage.
Emerson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Emerson wants to get back to striking at distance but Pow won't allow it.
Pow scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Knees in the clinch landing for Pow.
Pow tries to circle away but Emerson has him pinned against the cage.

Emerson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pow avoids the head kick by Emerson.

Nice body punch from Pow.
A head kick by Pow - that's a beauty! Emerson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Pow can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pow Pow!
A very excited looking Pow Pow rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
