Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Burton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ethan Hunt!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton moves in looking to clinch but Hunt pushes him off.
Hunt misses with a wild combination.
Burton swings for the body but Hunt moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Burton.
Hunt stuns Burton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hunt misses with a body shot.
Hunt throws a combination. Burton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Burton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hunt lands a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burton moves away from the strike by Hunt.
Burton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunt moves away.
Hunt jabs at Burton's body.
Burton defending well as Hunt loads up on a big left hand.
Hunt keeps the fight on the outside.
Burton tries to clinch up
enabling Hunt to counter with a crisp jab.
Burton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Burton tries to clinch but Hunt moves out of range.
Burton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hunt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt wants to stand and escape but Burton is having none of it.
Hunt pulls Burton in close to prevent any damage.
Burton is looking to stand up but Hunt won't let him.

Hunt keeping moving, preventing Burton from controlling successfully.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Burton wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Burton wants to clinch.

Hunt forces Burton back against the cage and clinches.
Hunt tries to work over Burton's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hunt avoiding damage.
Burton tries to pull guard but Hunt holds him up against the cage and eventually Burton drops back down to his feet.
Hunt wants to break free but Burton has control.
Burton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunt smiles and moves away.
Jack Burton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt takes one to the chin there.
Burton throws a head kick but Hunt moves out of range.
Hunt checks a low kick from Burton.
Hunt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Burton.
Burton thows a body shot but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Burton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Burton tries to clinch up.
Burton looks to clinch
and Hunt counters with a right hand to the body.
Burton tries to clinch but Hunt is having none of it.
Hunt throws a chopping leg kick but Burton manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Hunt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Burton stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hunt scores with a crisp jab that stopped Burton in his tracks.
Hunt keeps the fight on the outside.
Hunt lands a lovely overhand right.
Burton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hunt's hands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Burton tries to clinch up but Hunt circles away and keeps his distance.
Burton is looking to clinch.
Burton takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hunt connects with a right hand. Burton shakes it off.
Burton misses with a hook to the body

and Hunt moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Hunt dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hunt clinches.
Hunt softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hunt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Burton backwards.
Burton is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Burton is stalling here.
Hunt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Burton can't get the takedown.
Burton misses with a punch to the body.
Hunt gets underhooks to prevent Burton's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Burton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hunt manages to break the clinch.

Burton needs to keep his hands up - Hunt had a free shot at his head there.

Hunt drops Burton with a right and a left! Hunt comes rushing in but Burton regains his composure and manages to keep Hunt in guard.


Burton is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hunt loads up on a big left hand. Burton felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hunt looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Burton can't hide his disappointment, as Hunt celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ethan Hunt!
Our winner, Ethan Hunt, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
