PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Makela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laiho's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lookin' Out My Backdoor. Christian Makela is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makela scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Makela closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laiho to the mat! Laiho manages to get full guard.

Makela drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Makela jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Laiho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Makela doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Makela manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Laiho wants to get back to his feet but Makela is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Makela sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Laiho's guard.
Makela drops an elbow to the side of Laiho's head.
Laiho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Makela on the ground.
Laiho tries to kick Makela off but Makela keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Laiho won't allow Makela to pass to mount.
Laiho pushes Makela off looking to stand but Makela dives back in and keeps control.

Makela seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Laiho is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
