The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Governale avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Violence fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Governale avoids it really well and circles away.
Violence bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Violence moves to clinch but Governale breaks away

and Governale counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Violence is staying active underneath Governale, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Governale can do anything to dispel that myth.

Violence will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dark Violence.
Governale slaps away a takedown attempt from Violence, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Violence fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Governale looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Violence shoots for a takedown but Governale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dark Violence. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Violence uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Governale.
Violence changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Governale tries to avoid it but Violence manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Governale to the ground. Governale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dark Violence will probably get the nod.
