The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mamrou.
Haraldsson wants to control but Mamrou postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haraldsson tries to buck Mamrou off but Mamrou is having none of it.

Takamura Mamrou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mamrou feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Haraldssons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Haraldsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mamrou moves away.

Haraldsson goes for a double leg but Mamrou avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mamrou continues to drive forward.

Mamrou's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Haraldsson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Mamrou throws a body punch but Haraldsson moves out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mamrou postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Haraldsson to stand up.

Mamrou closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Haraldsson's guard.

Mamrou is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Haraldsson.
Haraldsson connects with a solid leg kick.
Mamrou connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Haraldsson momentarily.
We've been informed that Mamrou has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Haraldsson jabs Mamrou right on the nose. Mamrou blinks but takes it well.

Mamrou throws the left hand but Haraldsson avoids the punch easily.

Haraldsson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Haraldsson connects with a leg kick. Mamrou looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mamrou.

Mamrou feints and as Haraldsson raises his hands in defense, Mamrou changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mamrou got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haraldsson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mamrou has managed to get both his arms back between Haraldsson's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Well Mamrou has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
