Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Schmierer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shintaro Nomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmierer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Down in Dunedin by Pissd Chris/Tokie Konez/Kamasuda/Devil Keyz. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schmierer.
Nomo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nomo blocks a head kick by Schmierer.
Schmierer looks to land a body kick but Nomo moved away.
Schmierer throws a head kick but Nomo moves out of range.
Nomo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schmierer.

Nomo shoots in and bounces Schmierer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Schmierer has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nomo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Schmierer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Schmierer has escaped and now he's on top!

Nomo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schmierer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Schmierer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nomo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Schmierer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nomo pulls down on the head and he's put Schmierer to sleep! This one is all over!
