Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lonny Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandro Wilkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lonny Payne has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lonny Payne seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandro Wilkes!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wilkes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Lonny Payne has been cut.
Payne closes the distance but Wilkes moves to the side
and Wilkes counters with a stiff right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice takedown defense from Payne. No joy for Wilkes on that attempt.
Payne has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Wilkes stalks Payne and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Payne's face. Payne staggers backwards, shaken.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lonny Payne will probably get the nod.

Wilkes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Payne gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Payne jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wilkes is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wilkes and Payne has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Wilkes wants to get back to his feet but Payne is dominant here and he's now got Wilkes's back!
