Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bim Bham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Slayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bim Bham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Slayton!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Slayton.

Slayton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Bham gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slayton to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slayton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bham has managed to free his arm - good work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bham pushes Slayton off looking to stand but Slayton dives back in and keeps control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Slayton connects with a nice short shot to Bham's temple.
Bham is looking to improve his position.

Slayton drops an elbow to the side of Bham's head.
Bham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ground and pound from Slayton.
Slayton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bham is looking for a sweep. Slayton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Slayton is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bham!

Bham regains half guard.

Slayton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Slayton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Slayton decides to stand and escape the position.
Bham misses with a jab to the body
and Slayton counters with a left to the body.
Bham throws a hook but Slayton avoids it easily.

Bham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slayton moves away.

Slayton moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bham just misses with a punch to the body.
A combination from Slayton does no damage.
Bham takes one on the button.

Bham looks to land a right hand but Slayton moved out of range.
Slayton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bham.

and Slayton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slayton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Slayton goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Slayton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bham is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Slayton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bham gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Slayton comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bham.
A head punch on the inside from Bham fails to land.
Bham misses with a punch on the inside.

Slayton breaks from the clinch.
Slayton lands with a nice combination. Bham backs away looking to recover.
Bham is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bham throws out a powerful jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bham, as that shot connected.

Slayton misses with the combination.
Bham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slayton moves away.
Slayton closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bham swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bham lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bham missing with a left hand there. Slayton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Bham makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

No joy there for Slayton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Slayton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bham.

Slayton shoots in for a double leg but Bham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bim Bham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Slayton.

Slayton shoots in looking for a takedown but Bham manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slayton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Slayton tries to close the distance and clinch but Bham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
