The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonmundt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alford but Alford pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vonmundt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alford counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vonmundt is trying to improve his position.
Alford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Alford has hold of Vonmundt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vonmundt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Alford cranks the arm and Vonmundt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vonmundt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
