The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom looks for a takedown but Targaryen sprawls well.
Targaryen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Venom displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Targaryen lands with an uppercut that bounces Venom off the cage and back into range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Venom throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Targaryen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters circling - Targaryen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Targaryen takes a swing at Venom's ribcage but misses.
Venom wants to slow Targaryen down by chopping away at his legs.
Venom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Venom shoots in for a double leg but Targaryen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice defenses there by Targaryen.
No joy there for Targaryen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Venom misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Targaryen.

Targaryen clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Targaryen lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Targaryen breaks from the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Targaryen. No joy for Venom on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for PD Venom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Venom is breathing heavily.
Targaryen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Venom in his tracks.
Targaryen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Targaryen.
Targaryen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Targaryen pushes Venom up against the cage in a clinch.

Targaryen manages to break the clinch.
Targaryen throws a nice looking combination but Venom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Targaryen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Venom swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Targaryen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Targaryen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Venom moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Venom wants to clinch.
Venom pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Venom looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Targaryen drops Venom with a beautiful combination! Venom stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Targaryen is looking for the KO!

Targaryen drops Venom with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Venom looks back up at him and smiles so Targaryen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Venom is rocked!

Targaryen sends Venom crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Targaryen is motioning to the referee to let Venom up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Venom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Targaryen forces Venom back against the cage and clinches.

Targaryen drops Venom onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Venom is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Targaryen dips a shoulder and cracks Venom with a mighty uppercut! Venom falls back against the cage and Targaryen unloads with a barrage of strikes! Venom is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Targaryen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
