Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zoltan Barath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthews comes into the arena with Chaos is my life blaring out of the sound system. Dave Matthews has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matthews shoots in but no luck this time.
Matthews lands with a straight right. Barath didn't see that one coming.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barath has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Barath on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch but Barath swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barath scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Barath not doing much here.
Matthews is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Barath is keen to just control but Matthews is a slippery customer.
Barath with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Barath lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Matthews is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Barath pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Barath in particular looking to stall.
Barath winds up and cracks Matthews with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Barath uses his free foot to push down on Matthews's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Matthews.

Matthews tries to reverse the position but Barath maintains control.

Barath is landing with some decent strikes but Matthews is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
BOOM! Barath connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Matthews is rocked!
Barath cracks Matthews with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zoltan Barath!
