Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Domingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Stan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Domingo comes to the cage accompanied by Smoke Serpent "Jui-Jitsu". Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lance Domingo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Stan!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Domingo was covering up waiting for the punch and Stan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Stan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Domingo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stan scores with a couple of nice shots.

That was a close round but I would say that Lance Domingo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lance Domingo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Domingo but Domingo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

You can see the frustration on Stan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Domingo connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Stan to escape the position.

Domingo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Stan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Domingo pinned against the cage. Domingo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lance Domingo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Stan.
Domingo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stan moves away.
Domingo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stan manages to avoid it.

and Domingo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Domingo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ground and pound from Domingo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Domingo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stan parries the strikes from Domingo easily there. Domingo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stan to escape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Domingo is working away from the top position though.
Stan is staying active underneath Domingo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Domingo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stan has managed to free his arm - good work.
Stan is trying to maintain the position but Domingo is very close to passing his half guard.

That was a close round but Lance Domingo did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
