PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Slade Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Dale Arizona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arizona fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blaze tries to clinch but Arizona moves away
and Arizona counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Blaze throws a right and a left that Arizona avoids nicely.
Blaze tries to clinch but Arizona is having none of it.
Some wild striking there from Arizona.
Blaze takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Blaze tries to close the distance and clinch but Arizona swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Blaze has taken the fight to the clinch.
Arizona lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Arizona using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Blaze has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Blaze wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Blaze pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Arizona has Blaze up against the ropes in a clinch.

Arizona manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arizona misses with a hook. Blaze ducked under it nicely.
Blaze is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Arizona rushes Blaze and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Blaze tries to circle away but Arizona has him pinned against the ropes.

Arizona breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blaze looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Blaze closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Arizona crashing to the mat! Arizona uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Arizona is rocked!

It looks like Glen Dale Arizona has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blaze takes the fight into the clinch.
Arizona is still on wobbly legs! Can Blaze finish him?
A frustrated look appears on Blaze's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Arizona's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blaze lands the left hand.
Blaze cracks Arizona with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Arizona is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Arizona is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Arizona could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Slade Blaze!
