The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins scores with a jab.
Stokes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hawkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stokes somewhat.
Hawkins throws a right and a left that Stokes avoids nicely.
Hawkins scores with a shot to the body.
Hawkins scores with a hook to the body. Stokes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Hawkins clinches up against the cage.
Stokes swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Stokes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hawkins uses from the top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hawkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stokes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hawkins is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dale Hawkins.
Hawkins swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stokes.
Horrible takedown by Stokes or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawkins which made him look bad.
Dale Hawkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hawkins scores with a crisp jab that stopped Stokes in his tracks.

Stokes moves in looking to clinch but Hawkins pushes him off.
Stokes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Rufus Stokes has been cut.
Hawkins cracks Stokes with a hook to the temple - Stokes is on wobbly legs here! Hawkins swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Stokes falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hawkins wins by TKO!
