Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Steele duly obliges.
It looks like Larry Lennox has been cut.
Lennox misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lennox pushes Steele up against the cage in a clinch.
Lennox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Steele shoots for a takedown but Lennox saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lennox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lennox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steele swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Steele closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steele lands in his opponent's guard.
Lennox has control of Steele's left arm, preventing Steele from doing any damage.

Steele will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Steele with a poor takedown
and Lennox counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Steele is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Steele looks gassed!
Lennox is looking to advance position but Steele won't allow it.
Lennox content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lennox uses his free foot to push down on Steele's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Steele.

Lennox tries to clinch but Steele moves out of range.
